A little let down and confused
|
While I loved the series, I was a bid let down with this final book. I felt it was rushed and possibly she was just tired of it all by the time she wrote this one.
My major complaint is the change in character of Dumbledore. Dumbledore has always been strong, good, powerful and wise. He is a major part of what we love about these books. In this novel, he is portrayed as weak. I thought we wasted a lot of time on his history. A better explanation of his death could have been chosen.
I just hated to see Dumbledore reduced to glory-hungry, silly, and greedy.
Unfortunately, the series is over and there is no going back. Maybe another writer will step into Rowlings large shoes.
