| I am not a regular Johanna Lindsey reader, I have only read her western books, so really I have no others to compare this one to, to say "this was not her best."
I really enjoyed the book and now have read it twice. The characters in this book were believable, I wanted to smack the s**t out of Amanda. I felt sorry for Marian needing to disguise her beauty because of her jealous, mean, spoiled, sister. Mishaps happen and Marian doesn't straighten it out and gets her heart broken. The book has the romance, maybe not the best, but it is there, and there is a mystery. Just wanted to add that there is a little surprise at the end of the book. And I was glad to see that Marian's sister had changed and they were getting along. |
