Best Book Yet!

[Warning Spoilers] I finished this book in one night, I could not put it down. I cannot wait for her newest installment in December 2008. Wow she really kept it going with this one and left a great leg for next time. This book really made me think about the future for this series. OMG it was great!!!
Dylan Alexander is off taking a trip in her mother's stead. She stumbles upon a mysterious cave, with Rio inside. Things really light up the pages as these two go at it. I loved the fact that when her mother was dying, she turned to Rio for support and he is there for her. It was a very emotional part in the book that I really felt. The only problem I had was that Dyland and Rio got together in apartment he formerly had with his wife, without taking anything down first. Yes, Dylan was not expecting to fall for Rio. But it struck me as odd.
The other unexpected turn for me in this book, is the feel for the monster, Dragos, that is being held hostage by his grandson. I know that he is very out of control and animalistic, but in a way I really felt for him, because of the way he is being held and forced. It will be interesting to see if Lara can help him or is forced to destroy him. Can she turn the savage beast into a man? Can't wait for the next book to find out more. |
