| This book is a great resource because of the numerous practice tests. It seems to be more of a "FDNY study guide" than a firefighter study guide. This is one of the larger firefighter study books and has a lot of good tests. I used this book along with Barron's book and did very well of the entrance exam(85%). Use this book, but not on its own. You can never go wrong studying too much. The more resources the better. The problem with this book is that there is no mathematical reasoning. There is a good portion of mechanical but those are two areas that require individual study. The memory retention aspects are top notch and will prepare you for any exam. |
