Back in form again--a book that's a great read
|
I've read all his books and this one is great fun and fast paced. Once again, Dr Delaware and his sidekick friend, Milo, are faced with a puzzling series of murders. The first murder that draws them into the mystery is to a retired teacher. She's an ordinary person, with no known enemies, so why was she brutally stabbed, again and again, in broad daylight, by a theatrical killer who arrived in a large luxury car?
The questions pile up as Milo and Dr Delaware find more murders committed by a strange man in outlandish costumes who arrives at the murder scene in splashy luxury cars. Is a serial killer at work? And what draws him to the victims?
Anyone who has lived in Los Angeles will enjoy the background of familiar freeways and eateries. Milo and Alex are good characters. However, I have never warmed to Robin. The dog has more personality than Robin.
