If you are one of those readers who look forward to crawling in bed with a good book so you can read a few pages before peacefully drifting off to sleep, don't buy this book. Because I can assure you those "few pages" quickly explode into an irresistible, compulsive urge to dive straight into the heart of the story just as fast as you can! And once you do, be forewarned, there is no turning back. And neither is there much sleep!
To be very blunt, Jade R. Fairall is one helluva good writer with an incredible imagination that won't quit. After reading her first book, Riddle Maker, nonstop cover-to-cover, I doubted she would be able to ever match the compelling intensity that grabbed the reader right from the start and refused to let go. But I was wrong. Dead wrong. She's done it again! Even more astounding, Alone With Demons, is a totally different type of novel that has nothing whatsoever to do with the subject matter of her first book. The woman is a mystery genius!
I think one of the highest compliments bestoyed on any author is for readers to comment, "I really enjoyed reading your book." At least it is for me. However, in Jade R. Fairall's case my final words to her are, "I really loved reading your books. Hurry up and write another one, please!"
