Haunting and Astonishing
|
From the moment I started this book, I did not want it to end. Heim's prose is masterful. There were several passages that I reread just for the pleasure of the sounds of the words.
The characters (Scott's Mom, sister and Dolores) are delightfully quirky yet entirely believable and so alive on the page.
I was sorry to reach the end, but relished the reading experience that left me thinking about the book long after I put it down.
