♥♥♥♥♥ Yumm!
Xypher! Hot, sexy, and tough. I was beginning to forget what a good Kenyon book read like. This one was a return to the original writing that so many of us have come to enjoy. Xypher is a character introduced in the first Dream-Hunter series. Hades let him off from his punishment as payment for a job he did but under the stipulation that he would have only one month unless he could prove his character in that one month. Meaning, he had to sacrifice himself unconditionally.

Simone knows about the Dark Hunters only because her best friend is a guardian for them and she teaches and works at Tulane. When and if any suspicious dead bodies arrive, it's up to her to hide and manipulate the evidence so that the normal people out there don't know what is really going on. But there's more. Simone sees ghost. As a matter of fact, her best friend is a ghost that has been living with her since she was ten and her parents died and left her an orphan.

Then comes the night that Xypher and Simone collide. Of course sparks fly, but mostly from their tempers. What I love the most about Kenyon is her sense of humor. It definitely shines through in this book. Simone's ghost friend is hilarious! I absolutely loved him and am so disappointed that the story is over and therefore his character has probably come to an end. I especially loved it when he gave Xypher love advice and his Culture Club and Wham! references. This is definite recommend reading!
