Kathleen Woodiwiss is probably the first romance novelist I ever read. I have appreciated her work throughout the years and while this was not my favorite book, I was pleased with it nonetheless and saddened by her untimely passing.
There are moments when the book drags a bit much. There are times when you really want the heroine to "get on with it" and put aside her issues, but you can see where her past dictates her life and the fear that comes with it.
It is a good read. Again, not my favorite, but the fact that it is the author's final work makes it a must for all her fans. |
