Louis J. Freeh the former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations has written and outstanding book concerning his tenure at the FBI. He has also earned my respect and has been added to the list of vicarious mentors.
Having worked as a civilian contractor to the FBI, I have always been impressed with the agents. The FBI is an organization of highly qualified and dedicated public servants of the highest integrity.
This book is a joy to read, containing stories of apprehending the worlds most notorious criminals. Most importantly the book candidly conveys the successes and failures of our criminal justice system.
We learn from Louis Freeh the importance of the FBI's ability to span the country and the world. With the increase of international crimes and terrorism, he conclusively describes the argument for the worldwide deployment of the FBI.
