| I got this book at G-Fest 3 years ago and at the time I loved it so much I finished it in one day. But when I reread it just recently, I found that it has one major problem: NO one gets killed! Honestly, this is Godzilla not Barney. I like how Godzilla's feelings are talked about because they make him sound like someone who's not a hero, but also not a villain. I like that. But in the few scenes where something does get destroyed, all of the people either eject or run away before the monsters can get them. Times this happens: the fight in the Washington Mountains, the attack on the bridge, the rampage in the mall, the battle in the port of Seattle and the fight with the terrorists on Monster Island. I thought all of the monsters (Godzilla, Rodan, Anguirus, Kamacuras, Kumonga and Varan) wre cool and, unlike some fans, I thought the monsters the guy made up were cool. But because of the thing I mentioned earlier, this book is lowered to 4 stars. |
