A Lovely and Compelling Read

| I really enjoyed this book. Both Violet's and Adrian's motivations were understandable and the author explored the conflicts arising from Violet's deception in a way that was sympathetic to both of them. While Violet' position as the less dominant twin was clearly established, the author did a really good job of making sure that she did not turn into an - ahem - shrinking violet. The story didn't lag at all, with twists and turns in the right places to make it interesting. I was really rooting for the two of them to make it work, and the romantic payoff was great. I have ordered the second and third books of the trilogy and am looking forward to them! |
