Beware of driver upgrade cost
|
| I have been a satisfied user of Instant Immersion's Spanish CD-ROMs, so I expected similar satifaction from the Italian version. However, as I started the installation process, I was informed that I would need a new driver (presumably for Windows XP) and was directed to a vendor support website -- where I learned that I would be charged $14.95 for the new driver. I will request a refund from Amazon. It's possible that the software is satisfactory once installed; however, there is no justification for such a problem with CD-ROM drivers. |
