I recently got a copy of John Tesh's book "Intelligence For Your Life: Powerful Lessons for Personal Growth", and thoroughly enjoyed it. John's radio program is on my local station, and I always make it a point to tune in. I found the book to be quite inspiring, and reflective of how hard Tesh has worked to achieve the level of success he's attained. Another aspect of the book that I appreciated is that it also reflects the human side of how he got to where he is, and the hurdles he's faced. Overall, my perception of the books theme is that: you've got to get off your butt, start living your life, WORK towards achieving your goals and dreams, and help others and be 'of service' - as you embark on your personal journey.
One of the other reviewers has mentioned, the "did-you-knows" which are interspersed throughout the book. John includes "did-you-knows" during his radio show broadcast as well, and I always enjoy them. All in all, it was an easy read, and I read the whole book in one weekend. |
