| I used to love Koontz. But the books have become very predictable as to formula and method. Often magic dogs or animals. Often strong woman gets even. It's like someone writes an outline with favorite cliches, and then fills in the blanks with variations on characters.
This one lives up to its name. It is INTENSE. If you can get through the first half, continue. The second half is much better. |
