Fun easy read
|
Mademoiselle Boleyn is a fun read and the author created an interesting and complex character of a fictional Anne Boleyn. The book traces her early years in the German and then French court where no doubt the influence of continental Europe and the follies of being the king's mistress (via her older sister Mary) made an impression on her and her determination to be queen when it came to Henry VIII and nothing less.
While we can never know what really made Anne Boleyn who she was in real life, at least this book gave us a pretty entertaining imagination of what might have been. |
