good book...but, do not buy if you already have makeup makeovers

| i use to do make-up artistry, and i love finding new makeup books and dvds. i have makeup makeovers by the same author (pretty basic, good if you know nothing about makeup), and i really like that book. so i was happy to see a new book from him. i looked through the book in the bookstore to find that most of the pics are the exact same pics from makeup makeovers. they just photoshopped the girls into different backgrounds and put wedding apparel on them! so, if you have makeup makeovers, don't waste your money on this one. if you don't, then it will be a great book for you. if your not focused on the wedding look and want a basic makeup book with natural looks, go for makeup makeovers. and of course, you gotta buy kevyn aucoin's books! r.i.p. i don't know any female without at least one of his books! he was a true artist. |
