Liked the book, wished it was longer

I have become a rather large fan of the Anita Blake series, so I was excited to learn more about one of her many hot men. I finished the previous book last night and eagerly reached for this one. Much to my disappointment, the book was a third of the size of the last one, and when I opened it, it was in larger type than usual and looked triple or even quadruple spaced.
Now, I love a good short story, but I really believe that LKH really could have lengthened this book by possibly doing a "flashback" scene where we got to learn all of Micah's history. He is still rather a mysterious character, even after his own book. Yeah, he's romantic and yeah, he's got a beautiful body and is endowed...
Anyway.
I liked the book, but was disappointed that it was so much shorter than any of the others and still cost the same!
Regardless, I'm off to purchase the next book in the series after work. |
