| The 5 cd Advanced Spanish course is excellent. The sound quality is good and those who think otherwise should understand that Thomas is not Hispanic, but his inflections demonstrate his complete understanding of the nuances in spanish pronuncniation. The give and take with the two students is refreshing as well as educational. You can learn from their mistakes as corrected by Thomas. I would suggest though that anyone who uses these recordings have, at least, a working knowledge of spanish verb structure (conjugations). I am sad that Mr. Thomas has passed away. We lost a great linguist and Yes, Mr. Thomas, wherever you are, I do know the meaning of the word "polyglot" and you certainly were one. JS |
