| I love all of the text and tips in this book. The recipes are simple and nutritious as well as thrifty. I also like the fact that many of the recipes are from or influenced by other cultures, but don't have a mulitude of expensive ingredients. The only downside is that the recipes don't focus on whole grains, but I substitute whole wheat flour for 1/2 of the white flour in some of the recipes. I just made the Dutch Apple Bread yesterday for a snack for the kids and it disappeared! |
