While this workbook focuses on the vocabulary in the picture dictionary that goes with it, it nonetheless is a multi-skill workbook! It is not just a vocabulary workbook. It requires not only acquisition of the vocabulary itself, but also, comprehension of the vocabulary IN CONTEXT. Furthermore, learners must often write complete sentences, thus putting the new vocabulary into useful, authentic language.
If you buy the dictionary, which is a very interesting, user-friendly, and useful book, then I highly recommend that you purchase this one as well. The two together are an excellent study tool. I suggest that all of my students buy them. They can work with them alone, and also, we can work with them together. |
