listening to NT Greek does help

| Anyone serious about learning NT Greek should be reciting it and hearing it often. These c.d.'s get the job done. I have focused on listening to and reading 1 John over and over again to really drill the material, so it starts seeping in better. Pennington's voice and emphasis are fine, though in my opinion he speaks a little fast. I have noticed what apppears to be an occasional stress on the wrong syllable (e.g. theLEma sou in the Lord's prayer in Matthew) but this is no big deal. Learning to read Greek is very hard and Pennington has done a good job and speaks it pretty much the way any American would. Penny for penny this is a fine investment in learning Greek. |
