Not just another romance
|
| I was hoping this book would be more than just a formula romance novel and I was not disappointed. I liked the main character Julia and it was fun to see her evolve from traditional Victorian wife to a more independent and free thinking woman. The hero was intriguing but very dark and several times I wondered if the author was using a little bit of Sherlock Holmes as inspiration. I read this on a long international flight and when I was done, I wished I had brought her second book "Silent in the Sanctuary" for my return trip. |
