Not bad

I just finished my second reading of The Waste lands and it just doesn't engage like it did the first time I read it years ago. I've been heavily into hard sci-fi stuff like Baxter lately and going back to King feels like taking a step back to high-school level reading. I don't say that trying to be snobbish but its just the way it feels.

The ideas are still lots of fun though and King still manages to surprise occasionally. It's still worth reading the series if only for those reasons.
