If you look at Eragon for what it is, a good, well written book, and not put too much stock in the fact that it takes a lot from other books, then you WILL like it. Paolini has a way of writing that will draw you in and allow you to sympathize with Eragon as he travels, give you hope as he battles, and fear when something goes wrong.

This Bionicle book is a good latest edition to the series. My 9 year old got this on Christmas morning and blazed through it before brunch.
