Let me first say I own this book, and have read it cover to cover. It is garbage. A few "key concepts" in the Sec+ exam are barely even covered. In its defense, it is not as dry as many other technical books, but I'd take a dry book with some substance over a interesting book that teaches me nothing. I was expecting a lot more of this book. It's probably a good book for a business person to understand technical infrastructure but for those already in IT, it is more of a review. I'm a fan of Mark Spencer's on-line tutorials on Final Cut Studio and Motion, and therefore bought this book to see what deeper insights could be gained from the 500+ pages of in-depth tutorial.
