| Both this book and Volume 2 are full of good tips for taking better photos. I've been shooting for over 25 years, so I'm used to opening books and seeing a certain amount of material that I'm already familiar with, but I still learned a lot. I like the format and Kelby's direct and to-the-point style. The books are designed so that every page covers a certain aspect of the topic at hand and provides some kind of useful tip. There isn't a lot of prose, just a 'do this' kind of approach. It helps if you have some experience, because he doesn't spend a lot of time on the 'why' of what he is saying. In many cases you have to think about it and fill in that part of it yourself. However, this approach has the advant |

This CD continues the journey to enlightenment with Eckhart Tolle. It's short and sweet, and some may not like it because his methods are so simple it appear unsatisfying to the mind. He provides simple and yet effective ways to move forward in raising consciousness. I really enjoy it because it's so simple and often the pathways are complex and rather time consuming. The music is interesting although it's definitely not the pop variety. I enjoy instrumental and so enjoyed it. It's great to watch your own reaction to the content and music as a way of watching yourself and checking out your level of consciousness.

any book i can buy to excite my children to read i'm all for it. I had bought part 1 of this book & my son read it in 3 hours. I went online to see if there was anymore in the series & found part 2. It was not in the stores (I wanted to get it fast for my son to read). I did not get it over night but i did get it before my son came over for the weekend. I let him open up the package. He loved it. I saw him reading it right away. He read the book so fast that the next time i saw him his finger was in the book. I asked him how he is liking the book? He told me he liked it so much that he is already reading it again. WOW!! By the way he just turned 11 & the pages are over 200. Not too bad I thought. 
While the story was mildly amusing I took issue with some of the attitudes of the main character. He mistreats his friend, expects him to take it without question, and even gets angry with his friend for not taking the fall for him at one point.
I understand that a lot of people cannot stomach potty humor, but at least the kids in Captain Underpants are not as bad as Greg.
I am considering getting the sequel just to see if Greg redeems himself at all, but I think I will put it lower on my list of books.
This is a really good book about how to do stuff to make stuff better in your life. I thought it started off a little too slow but then I really got into it.
I ordered "The Missing Manual" immediately after I ordered my MacBook from Apple. Being my first Mac, I wanted to have something I could use to teach me more than just the basics of the UI. This definitely fits that bill. If you're new to Leopard, this is a good resource to have at your fingertips.
