Having read each and every book in the In Death series, it takes a lot for me to say that this one was the very best yet, but I have to say that to my mind, it was perfect. I picked it up, and that was it--I could not put it down again. With lives as busy as they are in this day and age, that's not a cliche. I truly could not put it down!

I WAS A LITTLE CONFUSED IN THIS BOOK. SHE FORGOT WHICH CHARACTOR WAS DOING WHAT. I EVEN HAD TO READ BACK A CHAPTER A COUPLE OF TIMES TO GET IT STRAIGHT. I HAVE BEEN READING HER BOOKS FOR YEARS AND WAS REALLY CONFUSED IN THIS ONE. IT WAS OK, BUT NOT WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION.... »

This book is a guilty pleasure. Read it because you like urban fantasy, or because you like vampires, but don't read it looking for a literary masterpiece. It is entertaining, but it is not particularly well-written.
