Better than the first book. Good characters and plot overall. Saved from possible 5 star status by Margrit's boss Russel being involved with Diasani and hanging Janx's people out to dry when they are arrested and use legal aid. I'd almost given up on Charles Stross, but HALTING STATE(2007), a very-near future SciFi Tech-Adventure, turned out to be quite good.
