A Boy and His Bicycle is a great story.
(I put this in so I don't continuously trip over the review by someone who apparently didn't get it. I must offer the disclaimer however, that I wrote that story. It's a subtle tale, and I'm very grateful that the judges understood it and gave it a First Place award.)

I've read through most of this book. The articles by Orson Scott Card and L. Ron Hubbard were very helpful in knowing what a new writer will run up against and what the future of science fiction will be. This is a writer's contest with a lot of history to it.
