In my opinion this book has problems from the get go. The main character of the book, Chane Feldstone seems very hard to get into, and I believe if it wasn't for his supporting cast, this book would be unreadable. This is a very good trilogy if you are interested in dwarves, and their beginings. It filled in some holes, and helps you understand why dwarves act the way they do. Dan Parkinson does a great job in this second book of the Dwarven Nations Trilogy.
