i thought that the book was a fair read. it wouldn't be worthwhile to me to read it again and it hasn't been added to the list of books i would recommend, but to the author's credit, it was well written. i feel the ending left something to be desired, and it could have used more of what was going on in the character's surroundings; it became monoton... »

I liked the first book and had to have the sequel, Haveli. While Shabanu could have stood on its own and the reader left to answer questions, too many are left at the end of Haveli. For the most part, Haveli is too predictable during the main part of the story and the ending left too open. Another book would be nice to close the loose ends of this seco... »
