Quebec City Crisis was a book that I enjoyed, even though I do not like hockey. I rate it four stars because, being a non-hockey player, I do NOT get the hockey games they play. Roy MacGregor forges books that are both mystery and hockey.

This is a great casual read. Roeder does a very good job of conveying the conflicting feelings that all teens have in their relationships. He also does a great job of building up enough sympathy for the main characters that you definately feel moved at the end of this Romeo and Juliet tribute.

I was really pulled in by this book and found it a page turner. It's got more than racial themes in it. It's also the story of friendship between boys, it's strengths and limits. Additionally, it's also the story of teenagers making poor choices and suffering the consequences of their actions.
