A different perspective on the Republican Party.

| This short work by former Senator James M. Jeffords is his testament on why he left the Republican Party while serving in the US Senate. It is a quick and easy read by one of the last of the "liberal" or "moderate" Republicans in Congress. What I find interesting is that he chose to become an Independent rather than become a Democrat (he did vote with them for organizational purposes). The strength of this book is that it provides a different perspective on how the Republican Party has changed over the years. |
