Ordinary Zen

| There are quite a few long reviews on this book that should suffice for a detailed information without my two cents added. I will, however, note that this book lacks much of the glamor so often attributed to Zen masters. 'Shobogenzo Zuimonki' is plain and straight-forward, and Dogen does not lead one to indulge in wild, philosophical explorations. Rather, he points to a quite ordinary and much more 'down-to-Earth' Zen, which is refreshingly simple. |
