History at its Best
|
| Although I don't consider this to be a great literary work, it is a wonderful portrayal of our country's history, and probably one of the most fascinating books I have read in a long time. The story of the overmountain men, the settling of what is now Tennessee, the battle of King's Mountain and the State of Franklin is "better than a dime novel". I found it hard to put down and have recommended it to all lovers of American history. |
